      This publication provides guidelines and recommendations for the
      protection and rehabilitation of cultural heritage in historic cities,
      with a particular focus on the Near East in a post-armed conflict
      setting. Furthermore, this toolkit will concentrate on some specific
      historic building materials: stone, brick (fired/unfired), plaster, and
      wood.
      The aim of this toolkit is to offer all stakeholders involved in
      conservation and rehabilitation processes fundamental support in both
      designing a condition assessment and damage mapping. This includes an
      overview into the basics of creating a building survey. Throughout this
      guide, additional sources in the form of (open access) literature and
      webpages will be provided for further consultation.

      يقدّم هذا المنشور إرشادات وتوصيات لحماية وإعادة تأهيل التراث الحضاري في
      المدن التاريخية مع التركيز بشكل خاص على منطقة الشرق الأدنى في فترة ما بعد
      الصراع المسلّح. ستركّز مجموعة الأدوات هذه بالإضافة إلى ذلك على بعض مواد
      البناء التاريخية المعيّنة: الحجر والِلبن / طوب (المشوي وغير المشوي) والجص
      والخشب.
      تهدف مجموعة الأدوات هذه إلى تزويد جميع الجهات الفاعلة المشاركة في عمليات
      الحفظ وإعادة التأهيل بالدعم الأساسي المتمثّل في تصميم تقييم الحالة ورسم
      خرائط الأضرار.  يتضمن ذلك نظرة عامة على أساسيات الرفع المعماري. يوفّر هذا
      الدليل الإرشادي مصادر إضافية على شكل مراجع ذات وصول مفتوح وصفحات ويب
      لتأمين المزيد من مصادر الاطلاع.
